Governance. Strategy. Decision Support.

We work with institutions whose decisions carry consequences they cannot easily reverse.

What we do

Five areas. Most engagements draw on more than one.

01

Governance and Institutional Structuring

Who decides what, on what authority, and answerable to whom.

02

Strategy and Decision Advisory

Supporting leadership through choices made under uncertainty.

03

Institutional Development and Organisational Transformation

Building the structures and systems that make an organisation function.

04

Research, Policy and Context Analysis

Independent analysis for decisions that cannot be taken on intuition.

05

Implementation and Strategic Execution

Between a recommendation and a change in how an organisation works.

Who we work with

Four entry points. Find your organisation.

Public and para-public institutions

“Reform mandated without institutional design, overlapping competences, and accountability that produces no consequence.”

Read the capability note

Civil society organisations and associations

“Governance on paper, structure that has not kept pace with growth, and requirements that cannot be evidenced to a funder.”

Read the capability note

Private sector and philanthropy

“Ownership, board and management with nothing separating them, and philanthropic activity managed informally.”

Read the capability note

Newly established organisations

“Structural decisions taken at the point when you know least, and which cost most to revisit.”

Three conditions

Written as conditions of work rather than as attributes. An attribute is claimed; a condition binds.

I

Independence

We conduct no lobbying, campaigning or fundraising on a client’s behalf, hold no commercial interest in the outcomes we recommend, and accept no remuneration conditional on an outcome. We decline mandates where these conditions cannot be maintained.

II

Written mandate

No informal advice. Scope, deliverables, timeline and fee are agreed in writing before any work begins.

III

Accountability for the output

The practice remains accountable to the client for the final deliverable, including where an expert from our network has contributed to it.

Every engagement begins with a confidential initial discussion. There is no cost and no obligation attached to it.
